Find 300Sync in the HubSpot App Marketplace and install it to your portal. No developer needed — it takes about 90 seconds.

What syncs

Everything mapped the way your team actually thinks about it — not a raw field dump.

Contacts

Clio contact records — including name, email, phone, and address — sync to HubSpot contacts. De-duplication runs on email to prevent doubles.

Primary Records

Core Clio records (matters, jobs, projects, policies, or equivalent) map to HubSpot deals. Status changes in Clio advance the deal stage in HubSpot.

Activity Timeline

Billing events, status changes, and key interactions from Clio appear as timeline events on HubSpot contact records. Your team sees the full activity history without switching systems.

Custom Properties

Industry-specific fields from Clio — that have no native HubSpot equivalent — are created as custom properties prefixed with sync300_. Auto-created on first sync.

Sync Direction

Two-way (Professional+). On Starter, data flows from Clio into HubSpot. On Professional and above, changes in either system flow to the other.

Sync Frequency

Starter: every 15 minutes. Professional: every 5 minutes. Enterprise: real-time via webhooks. Changes in Clio reach HubSpot within seconds on Enterprise.

Contact matching

Exact match only. Phone number "(123) 456-7890" vs "1234567890" causes a sync failure. Firms report spending more time fixing errors than the integration saves.

Multi-tier fuzzy matching: Clio ID first, then email, then normalized phone + name, then name alone. Phone numbers are stripped to digits before comparison. Zero false mismatches.

Duplicate records

Both marketplace reviews report "lots of duplicate entries" and "a bunch of duplicate matters in Clio, which we had to clean up." No smart dedup.

Every record is checked against four dedup layers before creation. If a match is found at any tier, the existing record is updated — never duplicated.

Practice Area field

Not supported. One of the most-requested features on the HubSpot community forum since 2022 — still not available. A fundamental field for every law firm.

Mapped automatically. Clio Practice Area syncs to a custom HubSpot property on every deal. Segment, report, and build workflows by practice area out of the box.

Company-level associations

Deals only link to individual contacts, not companies. A HubSpot Platinum Partner confirmed that "the sync does not capture the Company information."

Contacts, companies, and deals are all synced and associated. When a matter syncs, the deal links to both the contact and the company — because that's how law firms actually track clients.

Global Clio server support

Only US, Canada, and EU servers. Australian Clio users are locked out entirely — a known issue on the HubSpot community with no fix.

Custom properties (prefixed sync300_) are auto-created in your HubSpot portal on first sync. No manual property setup needed.
